This site includes game used jersey cards and pictures from baseball card sets.   Unopened packs of baseball cards contain authentic official Major League Baseball game used bat cards and the players included often span Mickey Mantle, Ken Griffey Jr, Albert Pujols, even Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, Mark McGwire, and many more superstar and hall of famers as well as semistars and commons.  Unopened packs and hobby boxes are a great source to be able to get one of these game jersey cards in a pack, as they are inserted frequently into hobby packs from Upper Deck, Topps, Donruss, Panini, and many of the high end sets often.

What makes these cards highly collectible is that there are pieces of game worn jerseys on the cards that the sports players used in games.  You can also receive autographs on the cards too.  A lot of times, a card will have a piece of a game worn jersey as well as an autograph.  In high end sets such as Ultimate Collection, Upper Deck Exquisite, Topps Sterling, etc., there are many of these cards that are serial numbered to as low as 1 of 1 or out of less than 50.  When one of these sports cards is serial numbered to a low amount such as a genuine 1 of 1 or a 1 of 5,  it makes it that much more valuable compared to a card that has more copies made of it.  There are also memorabilia cards with pieces of game used bats, gloves, pants, hats, and many other collectible player items.  Many hobby boxes nowadays usually have about 2 game worn jersey cards at least, per box.

Baseball cards is a hobby that has been around for a long time.  People started buying baseball cards and baseball collectibles pretty much ever since the game was invented.  The vintage cards dating back to the early 1900's and earlier are very valuable.  People back then did not realize what they were worth and for people that currently have them, they have gone up in value tremendously.  If you have vintage baseball cards in great condition (with no creases or corner wear) they can be worth several thousands of dollars if not even more than that.  There are famous baseball cards such as a 1909 Tobacco (small size card) of Honus Wagner, cards of Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and Lou Gherig that are very expensive nowadays.

Another era of famous baseball cards started in the 1950's.  Topps baseball cards started producing sets every year.  The 1952 Topps set is extremely valuable and the Mickey Mantle card in that set (contained in the high number series of the set) is one of the most famous and valuable cards in existence.  It seems to fetch more and more when it is auctioned and highly graded versions of the cards command a high market price.  Pieces of game worn jerseys from the vintage years are common in higher end sets, and if you get a game worn jersey card of Mickey Mantle, Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, or Jackie Robinson, those can be quite valuable.

If you have cards in your collection (be it from baseball, basketball, football or hockey) it is always a good idea to use online price guides as an estimation for what they are worth.  Modern cards now issued in baseball card packs include cards from Topps, Upper Deck, Playoff and many more companies and the cards have changed from the older days.  They now have pieces of game worn jerseys on the cards of the players from a real game, autographs and much more.  There are cut signature pieces featuring famous hall of famers with an autograph say from an old cancelled check that they wrote back when they were playing, and some of those autographs can fetch a tidy sum.  There are also presidential autographs rarely issued in modern packs of baseball cards, finding one of those can transform your collection into a highly sought after one.
The Sportkings cards have some great autographs and game worn memorabilia items.  I posted one that I recently purchased, I only have one in my collection and it is a Hakeem Olajuwon autograph.  There is also a further discussion in this article written here http://www.mybaseballcardspace.info/sportkings

The game worn jersey cards of Mickey Mantle, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Babe Ruth, and other great players are fun to find.  Some of these can be extremely rare and they are available in unopened packs and hobby boxes (sometimes retail boxes too) from the card manufacturers depending on which sets they are in.  Some players have exclusive contracts with certain manufacturers which means that you will have to find out who is in each set before you can know that there is a chance of receiving your favorite player in a pack.  As the site starts to have more articles and pictures added to it, you will find the game worn jersey cards focused here and I will be taking pictures of ones in my baseball card collection.  For now, posted are pictures of game used bat cards.
